    Job Description

    We are looking for an Intern who'd be reporting to the Account Manager. As a key member of Journals commercial team, the purpose of this role is to represent the company to customers, assist to achieve annual territory sales targets through sustainable and consultative account management and maintaining an awareness of business and competitive trading environment.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Assist to achieve and exceed annual business targets across each profit centre, contributing to the overall revenue and profit objectives of the business division.
    • Enlarge and cultivate strong and holistic relationships with the customer base, working to assist to ensure that trading with each account is sustainable and delivering a high level of customer satisfaction.
    • Report periodically to the manager on business progress and the business environment, this ensuring responsiveness to both the micro and macro trading conditions.
    • Collect market and customers' feedback, including passing leads where the customer and business would be better served by a different T&F channel/offering.
    • Establish a strategic approach to diversified business on territory, to ensure that activity is both relevant and flexible to evolve business environment.
    • Prepare and contribute to academic events to build strategic awareness and to gather market relevant intelligence.
    • Other ad hoc tasks as necessary and specific to the role. i.e. update SFDC.
    Qualifications

    What we're looking for:

    • College student who is available for an ideally 8-month full-time internship(or 6 months and 3 days per week at minimum) and would be able to remain in their student identity till end of the internship period to be eligible to sign an internship contract

    • Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Chinese as a must
    • Library and Information Science background will be a plus.
    • Experience with SalesForce, CRM software preferred, Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint

    Additional Information:

    • You must have the right to work and live in Guangdong, China
    • This is ideally a 8-month internship opportunity(or 6 months at minimum) to cover colleague's maternity leave, you will need to remain as a student till end of the internship to be eligible to sign an internship contract
    • In terms of working pattern, 5 days per week full-time commitment is ideally expected or 3 days per week at minimum, and you will be paid a daily rate at CNY300/day pre-tax according to actual attendance
    • Taylor & Francis has flexible hybrid working options for how employees can work based on their role. This role will be homebased in Guangzhou.
