- Serve as the technical architect and lead for display/touch components through the entire product life cycle, from road mapping through design in to mass production support
- Manage the technical relationship with display and touch vendors to deliver display touch components to the required specification and schedule
- Perform hands on bring up, testing and troubleshooting of touch subsystems and display assemblies and associated control electronics
- Function as a subject matter expert on touch, stylus and gestures technology by providing up to date, accurate information to colleagues and management
- Travel to supplier and contract manufacturer sites world wide to support product development activities (40% 50% travel)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, Materials Science or related field
- Experience in the consumer electronics or touch/display industry as a hardware engineer
- Experience with capacitive touch development or product integration
- Background in electrical engineering
- Experience with touch/display test equipment and methods
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering and/or Materials Science
- Experience in C/C++ or Java programming in a GNU/Linux development environment
- Working knowledge of optics, Autocad
- Experience in working with international, crossfunctional teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
