Treasury Function Overview

The Office of the Treasurer oversees AIIB's operational liquidity to ensure sufficient cash flow to meet financial commitments. This includes managing a fixed income portfolio to optimize returns while preserving capital, within clearly defined risk parameters.

We invest across multiple markets to deliver a favorable risk-return dynamic, diversifying our investments to minimize risk.

Treasury Analyst Role

The Treasury Analyst will report to the Head of Investments and be responsible for assisting in the running of AIIB's liquidity investment portfolios. Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the team in portfolio management activities, including daily trading and long-term investment strategies
• Conducting analytical work to inform decision-making in the Treasury Investment Portfolio
• Contributing to financial modeling work needed for AIIB Treasury function and portfolio management
• Managing daily activities related to fixed income portfolio management, including rebalancing portfolios and managing cash balances
• Reporting on performance and risk of investment portfolios and proposing reporting enhancements
• Maintaining compliance with internal and external regulations and controls
• Analyzing macroeconomic and market news relevant to portfolio management in international fixed income markets

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, economics, statistics, or a related field from a reputable university
• 2-3 years of relevant work experience in investment, treasury, or financial analysis, preferably at commercial/investment banks or international financial institutions
• Experience in investment management, treasury management, or financial analysis, including fixed income bonds, interest rate and FX derivatives, or money market securities
• Proficient oral and written communication skills in English, with knowledge of a language(s) of a country in which AIIB invests being an advantage
