    We are currently looking to recruit the role of Head of Global Distribution Area 4 (Asia Pacific). This role will be responsible for working within Spare Parts and Supplies (SP&S) to ensure that the overall team come together as a united team to ensure timely delivery of goods to customer globally from our regional stock locations. The role has overall responsibility for the logistics teams within this function including Customer Order Management, Warehouse Management and Transport. Having overall responsibility to ensure that orders coming into the department are processed and delivered safely and in a timely manner in line with the company process. Management and coaching of department managers and team leaders located throughout the region including but not limited to China and India. You will work to ensure alignment with global processes and systems whilst delivering excellent service to our internal operations and aftermarket customers and brining unified approach with the teams to ensure on time delivery.

    Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:


    • Design and implement a robust function aligned with the global blueprint and strategy whilst supporting and coordinating change management and daily operational actions and changes that are required as part of the global strategy.

    • Management and governance of the function, ensuring agreed targets and key performance measures are achieved. Establish close relationships with other global Spare Parts and Supplies personnel, 3PL providers (as necessary) and logistics providers for the regional warehouses.

    • Actively work on improvements within the teams and with logistics providers to realise improved KPI and PPI performance levels

    • Ensure safeguarding of material from receipt to final point of delivery via robust system and process adherence within the department.

    • Establish a trustworthy partnership with SP&S colleagues and operations to ensure correct information flow throughout the department

    • Develop and lead and manage an empowered team by means of succession planning, training and trust culture and develop the workforce, ensuring maximum productivity and effectiveness, ensures high performance culture of business excellence and continuous improvement, with motivated employees and retention of key staff

    • Operates to the highest business standards, manage risk and protect the Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) brand by ensuring business operates in accordance with corporate governance standards. To lead compliance and implementation of the SGRE values, principles, initiatives and governance requirements

    • Informing the team and key stakeholders of the achievements of the function and any changes or relevant information at the earliest opportunity.

    • Being a member of the region Senior Leadership Team acting as personal advisor to unit's Executives and Senior Management in all Supply Chain related issues.

    • Experience of personnel management of multi-level and international teams with consideration for intercultural sensitivities with the skills to manage a team remotely

    • Strong track record in logistics or supply chain including experience of liaising with and managing logistics providers

    • Excellent communication, written and influencing skills with the ability to run highly effective meetings confidently with stakeholders

    • Project management experience along with change management experience across various functions

    • Capacity to influence others within the organisation to ensure best logistics options for SGRE.

    • You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment and be accustomed to working to set, tight timescales and will demonstrate the ability to adapt to any sudden changes in the priorities

    • We're looking for a customer-focused individual who will make a big, positive impact to the team and mould this new role whilst being the driving force in both their own and the departments success

    • Relevant education within supply chain and logistics management and leadership would be an advantage.

    • Bachelor degree or equivalent in supply chain, logistics or management

    • Fluent in English verbal & written in necessary for this role.
