    Job Description

    This position is accountable for designing and developing new products base on the development process, redesigning existing tools, overseeing the making of prototype of the tool, and testing tools from the prototype stages to mass production to ensure they meet customer demands.

    1. Product architecture design and technical roadmap development with support of supplier resources
    2. Prepare and analyze technical requirements and organize product development and technical consultancy to supplier
    3. Product validation: define and monitor performance and safety test
    4. Communication protocol debugging
    5. Core component selection
    6. product and component level VAVE (cost improvement) together with supplier
    7. contribute in benchmark and field monitoring activity as product expert
    8. develop connectivity solution and data connection/evaluation SW together with supplier
    9. develop HW/SW solution for data driven business models
    10. perform innovation engineering base on product roadmap

    Qualifications

    1. 3year+ work experience in High-low voltage battery testing equipment / OBD diagnostic tool design or related industry as an electronic, mechanical Engineer, Automobile Industry is preferred.
    2. Proven design skills utilizing knowledge of similar product, architecture design, conceptual layouts, locating components, FEA analysis where required and 3-D solid modeling.
    3. Demonstrated knowledge with Bill of Materials (BOM) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO's).
    4. Proven experience with FMEA's and battery related safety testing protocol design highly preferred.
    5. Thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes.
    6. Digital, SW knowledge or experience in data modeling is preferred
    7. Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
    8. Ability to work well with challenging individuals, departments and customers.
    9. Creative problem-solving ability via design or process.
    10. Self-starter, highly motivated, and works with urgency.
    11. Good verbal and written communications in both English and Chinese.

    Travel Frequency: National travel with reasonable frequency
