- Deliver a weekly schedule of lessons as assigned by the Head of Department or Whole School Director
- Adhere to all the professional standards expected of a classroom educator following the school's Teaching and Learning Policy
- Monitor the academic progress of your students by conducting necessary assessments
- Prepare termly student reports and participate in parent conferences as per the school's annual calendar
- Contribute to the boarding house supervision rota on a weekly basis, including weekends, as instructed by the Deputy Head Pastoral
- Engage in the CCA programme by organizing or assisting in activities for students on a weekly basis, including Saturday sessions as per the Director of CCA's schedule
- Participate in the annual expeditions programme, involving residential trips domestically in China or abroad in neighboring countries
- Attend extra-curricular events, parent information sessions, and community activities as required by the Heads of Schools and Head of Department
- Represent the school at official functions when called upon by the Head of Department
- Teach classes as determined by the Head of Department
- Set a positive example in all professional aspects, ensuring adherence to guidelines such as dress code, punctuality, and support among teachers and students
- Contribute to shaping the school's vision and ensure alignment among students, staff, and parents
- The school prioritizes the safety and well-being of children and young individuals, expecting all staff and affiliates to uphold this commitment
- Demonstrate the ability and willingness to motivate others, embodying the School's vision statement 'Leadership for a better world' in interactions with students, colleagues, and parents
- Familiarity with, or openness to understand, Chinese cultural norms and the Mandarin/Chinese National curriculum
- For Chinese Nationals, proficiency in both Chinese and English languages
