As a HR Business Partner and HR Site Leader, your focus will be on providing the following types of support to leaders within the Varian Interventional Solutions (VIS) team in China VIS China integration strategy People & Places organization design and stakeholder management Performance Consultancy Engagement & Culture, Performance management and strategy alignment; Change Expertise Innovation and Change Management, Organizational Capability; Talent Advisement Talent Assessment, Succession planning & Retention and Talent/Leadership Development; HR Expertise Diversity & Inclusion, Employee Relations and leveraging the Centers of Expertise. Site Engagement Culture Engagement, Community Relations, Business Continuity, Incident Management In addition, you will help support people managers at all levels with their growth and development to help them become more effective leaders and managers. In this capacity you will Coach managers through people related issues as well as formal Varian processes. Development and growth of people managers and employees at the site Assist managers with policy interpretation and compliance. Responsibilities Partner with Sr. Manager, HRBP to create and drive VIS China People & Places integration plan Partner with business leaders to create high performing organizations with a focus on employee engagement and team effectiveness Partner with geo, country, and functional HRBPs as needed to ensure seamless and coordinated efforts across the organization globally. Develop and implement HR initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy Lead initiatives regarding workforce planning, succession planning, and key talent development and support the delivery of corporate programs to your assigned teams. Coach and support line managers through employee issues. Identify and resolve systemic issues through appropriate measures i.e. training and development. Consult and advise managers in support of companywide and or local people programs on Compensation planning, performance management, goal setting, talent reviews etc. Provide advice and direction to managers and employees related to performance management, employee relations, recruitment, succession planning, compensation, compliance, training & development and organizational design. Collaborate with the Centers of Expertise (CoEs) and HR Services to ensure optimal service and program delivery with localized variations as needed. Monitor local legislation that may affect programs and policies and collaborate with the impacted COEs for appropriate action Active member of Shanghai/Hangzhou Site Engagement Council, partnering with business leaders to create high performing organizations with a focus on employee engagement, community relations, communication and team effectiveness. Help drive processes and procedures to maintain a safe and inclusive work environment (business continuity, incident management) Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge Experience in industry supporting a global, diverse, complex, service and production environment. 5 years HR experience with a minimum of 2 years in a mid-level employee relations or business partner role. A collaborative and result-oriented individual with a global, partner-oriented and solutions driven mindset Ability, competence, and confidence to influence key decision makers. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) and 5 years of related experience or Masters Degree with 3 years of related experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to organize and analyze data and recommend data-driven solutions Experience building org and talent plans to identify and execute against current and future talent needs Ability to thrive in a dynamic, changing and fast-paced environment using strong judgment and decision-making skills Exceptional coaching skills and the ability and confidence to influence key decision makers Experience building networks and effectively communicating in a matrixed, global business environment. Skills to facilitate and drive meetings and discussions to deliver productive outcomes to diverse audiences Effective interpersonal skills.
