TE Connectivity's Quality Control and Reliability Teams ensure product and / or product components comply with specifications and quality standards. They test and inspect products against performance and integrity criteria to ensure product quality and reliability, and to determine the suitability of product release.
Develop and implement quality plan, budget, policies and systems; and supervise quality assurance activities with the objective of ensuring AMP's product quality meet customers and external agencies' standards within corporate headquarter quality systems, policies and procedures; and relevant local regulations.
Planning and Budgeting
Develop and implement department budget and plan; monitor the achievement of the budget; allocate department target to subordinates; monitor their performance; and develop annual headcount planning and budgeting in order to meet TE AMP annual plan and budget.
Policies and Procedures
Oversee the implementation of global quality policies; approve the localization of TE quality-related procedures; monitor the implementation of Quality System within the company; and develop and implement the TE-QD's quality targets within the company in order to ensure the business procedures in line with QS and global standards.
Allocate and balance the allocation of work across direct reports; review and provide timely performance feedback to direct reports; mentor, develop and motivate them; and resolve people/functional issues in the team in order to achieve targeted dept performance and retain key talent.
Coordinate the internal/external quality audit activities as the company's quality representative; provide monthly quality performance report to top management team; follow up the key customer complaints regarding the quality issues , and monitor the team to resolve all quality issues on time in order to ensure AMP's quality system meets headquarters, customers and quality agencies' quality standards.
(i) Approve the internal/external deviation requests and 4M changes; organize monthly manager internal audit; monitor the DPPM performance and co-ordinate activity in order to improve DPPM.
(ii) Approve the supplier classification and the critical claims in order to manage supplier quality within required standards.
(iii) Periodically review the in-process quality targets and quality cost, and initiate quality meetings to resolve the critical quality issues in order to ensure in-process quality meet required standards and reduce quality problems within the production in-process.
(iv) Report the monthly CQS (Quality Improvement) performance to OpEx committee and top management; follow up the key customer complaints regarding the quality issues , and monitor the team in order to resolve all quality issues on time and achieve CQS targets.
