Job SummaryPOSITION PROFILE: (Basic Purpose of Position) This position is responsible for lab or biopharmaceutical site with internal and external customers in order to provide the product and technical support in terms of operations. He/She also serves as a lead to coordinate with vendors and global internal stakeholders to resolve issues and develop solutions. The role will focus on analysis method development service, seminar and other technical support with Avantor products. MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance) Coordinate and support regional application-specific field technical development provide for biopharm/pharmaceutical/lab projects in the areas of organic, in-organic, peptide and protein analysis using HPLC/GC/MS. Assist customers with product queries and applications troubleshooting including assisting with product selection decisions. Efficient and effective follow up of customer requests for information. Responsible for presenting and delivering product training to internal and external customers. Understands Avantor’s product offering and articulates a compelling technical rationale for the use of Avantor products used in Bioprocess manufacturing. Understands the value drivers and technical requirements for customers. To preserve and establish good relationship with internal stakeholders and provide assistance in any product and technical queries. Support customers with technical expertise to qualify Avantor products during early project stages. Keep breast with latest regulatory and compliance within the lab and pharma industry. Participate in the Company’s cross-functional organizational task force(s) if need be. Travels to and works at customer's site and leads projects to enhance the performance of Avantor’s products. Any other relevant tasks assigned by supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications) BS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related field-Engineering.(MS is preferred in similar fields or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.) +3 years working experience in Chemistry, R&D or Biotech space, HPLC, GC, MS analysis method development. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & COMPETENCIES (Those necessary to achieve conformity of products and services) Knowledge Demonstrated ability to utilize the equipment for HPLC/GC/MS analysis. More than 3 years work experience in Pharma/Chemistry/R&D/Bio-tech space, HPLC, GC, MS analysis method development. Strong technical knowledge in Analytical chemistry, method development and should be able to handle for HPLC/GC/MS, etc. Experience working on development projects in Pharma/Chemistry/Bio-tech and related-analytical fields and should be able to establish HPLC/GC/MS analysis method development and others. Skills Flexibility to respond to changing priorities and shifting deadlines in a fast-paced working environment. Demonstrates a strong drive for results. Ability to build strong relationships with customers and other Avantor team members. Successfully uses flexible styles/sources of influence to gain internal and external credibility Strong organizational skills that drive projects forward. A clear ability to manage customer interactions professionally by demonstrating excellent listening and organizational skills, and by using probing questions and reflective language to engage customers and build trust. Ability to focus on the project developments at customer sites. Ability to have initial ideas around value adding solutions for the customer. Applies understanding of industry trends to develop integrated customer solutions, based on the company’s own strengths and leveraging external resources / partnerships. Creates and sustains profitable customer partnerships by involving customers in new business development. Seeks to establish close partnership relationships with strategic customers. Should be able to discuss with customer’s organization for Test. Flexible in approach and creative in finding solutions to problems. Shares customer data with people across the business to help them better understand their customers. Good communication and interpersonal skills with others. Strong competency in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint. Word and Excel; excellent knowledge and execution in Excel. Fluent in oral and written English, preferably 1 or 2 more languages. Abilities and Competencies: Proactive, Inspirational and Team Focused. Customer Orientation, interpersonal effectiveness and high level of collaborative behaviour. Ability to build strong relationships with other team members. Collaborates productively as a team member. Well organized and able to work with minimal supervision. Ability to be at customer sites as required. ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT Typically works in Avantor lab with extensive regional travel to customer locations. 50% travelling is required for customer visits. This position is field-based and the duties of the job will require the job holder to spend more than 50% of the time at customer sites within the assigned region and 50% of the time at Avantor Lab.
