KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Forecasting and Demand Management
- Responsible for the monthly demand rolling forecasting process, yearly OP forecasting process and Long Range Volume Forecasting process
- Manage the alignment of the commercial financial forecasts with unit forecasts and market activities, creating an accurate demand signal for supply planning team/ plants in collaboration with stakeholders such as Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Strategic Business Development, Regulatory and Quality Operations
- Collect information related to sales strategy, promotion activities, BU brand plan, sales forecast and results from internal and external business units and partners to develop accurate short/ mid-term demand forecast by SKU in a timely manner
- Review sales and forecast results, analyze gaps and help all stakeholders understand forecast drivers
- Ensure appropriate identification and understanding of demand forecast changes against short and long term horizons to support effective supply chain function
- Provide necessary forecast logic and assumption to Supply Planning Team/ UGS/ External Supply site
- Analyze and improve forecast accuracy and customer service levels in line with internal and external benchmarks
- Continuously improve forecast capability of demand planning team to drive enhanced service levels and reduced working capital requirements
- Lead Demand and Supply Planning meeting review
- Seamless handover of demand forecast and relevant market intelligence to supply planning team to facilitate optimal inventory levels to support the business
- Monitor and optimize inventory levels at distributors to support the business
- Internal measurement and reporting of demand forecasting KPIs to drive improvements in forecast accuracy and bias, working capital and customer service
Supply & Inventory Planning Management
- Prevent stock-out and excessive inventory, minimize write-off costs and keep optimal safety stock
- Monitor the supply plan and coordinate with UGS/ External Supply site to ensure continuous supply and % in stock target
- Verify replenishment system parameters accuracy and coordinate with UGS/ External Supply for necessary correction
- Drives Supply Chain Agreement (SCA) process with UGS/ External Supply to align supply parameters for both replenishment system and SCA
- Maintain all necessary reports to support supply planning process
- Evaluate supply plan and issue supply alert summary to local commercial and other associated stakeholders for potential supply interruption
- Evaluate the supply impact and escalate to Regional/ Global Supply Chain Team
- Monitor and improve inventory value and inventory MOH to align with budget target
- Provide short dating/ excess inventory to the commercial team to identify the actions to avoid obsolete inventory and estimate potential write off volume
- Active participation in regular/ ad hoc meeting with local stakeholders to support supply relevant topics
Product Launch, Divestiture, Discontinuation and Regulatory Change Management
- Interact with related business units and UGS team to prepare for market launch and sample provision, and check sales results and inventory data for post-launch analysis to modify demand forecasts and production plans at particular timing
- Conduct periodical product analysis, participate in product divestment or discontinuation projects and plan the best inventory for change with supply team
- Lead stock build strategy; evaluate and propose appropriate stock build requirements to cover market demand for regulatory change, site transfer, etc.
Purchasing for GSP Operations
- Maintain supplier master data in APO ECC, sign off quality and service agreement with supplier
- Manage supply change control process
- Collaborate with quality team to conduct annual quality management and service quality audit with supplier for compliance and continuous improvement
- Maintain product master data in APO ECC, create purchase order and manage PO status to secure product supply
- Manage product change control process
- Maintain purchasing records based on the company and local regulatory/ legal requirements
- Collaborate with quality team to conduct annual purchasing quality performance review
- Monitor the purchasing process and communicate to supply planning team on product supply
- Participate into GSP onboarding training organized by Shanghai Pharmaceutical Trade Association
- Attend Quality training every 2 to 3 years
- Participate into annual internal GSP audit
- Participate and prepare annual Shanghai FDA audit
Project Support
- Lead/ support ad hoc project for process/ performance improvement purpose
- Support UGS/ Supply Chain regional/ global initiative or program
