Bachelor’s degree or above with major in mechanical engineering or Electromechanical engineering.
2~3 years of R&D experience in power tools or household appliance related industries.
Ability and willingness to think creatively (outside the box) to come up with new and unique concepts in design and Manufacturing. Demonstrated ability to provide innovative solutions to complex problems; Solid understanding of mechanical, and vision design theory and application.
Capable of managing multiple tasks, projects with minimum supervising. Always be self-motivated, and open minded
Knowledge and experience with plastic, machining, powdered metal parts, stamping parts, casting parts, and ferrous material heat treatment.
Able to finish 3D, 2D drawings and design calculation. Experience using CATIA is preferred.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Must have excellent English communication skills both written and spoken for effective communication with US, and Foreign teams
Familiar using MS office software (Excel, Word, PPT)
Willing to learn, willing to share knowledge and experience in the team.
Work with team members to research and design new system, ideas, mechanism to support Power tool functions
Conceptualize new ideas or concepts from marketing briefs and ID Sketches to present for discussion and approval.
Research or explore new manufacturing process to supplement the current and future designs
Create and provide concise, accurate, and legible 2D/3D CAE models/drawings, layouts, assemblies, and other necessary documentation meeting the standards for prototype build and production.
Analyse integrity and functionality of new designs and optimizes accordingly.
Identify, modify, and implement design changes in existing products to achieve improved manufacture, quality, market features, cost down, liability, etc.
Work with multi-functional teams and suppliers to address all design/quality related issues from concept to product production.
Development of prototype models, prototype assessment and testing. Control and maintain testing records.
Understand GD&T principles, and perform tolerance stack-up analysis to meet the product functions
Issue and maintain records of engineering drawings/files and engineering change notices for product manufacture/quality assessment.
