CCDHB are looking to recruit dedicated and compassionate midwives who would like to gain experience across a wide range of maternity services including secondary, tertiary, primary units and community settings.

Maternity works closely with all other aspects of our Women's Health Service including gynaecology, gynae-oncology, Womens outpatients, Maternal Fetal Medicine, scanning, acute assessment, and the pregnancy termination service. Our midwives provide care to women across the midwifery scope of practice including women with uncomplicated pregnancies and births, as well as women requiring complex medical and obstetric interventions.

  • The opportunity to participate in the Quality Leadership Programme with the support of the clinical midwife specialist
  • A regular 3 monthly rotation between the birthing suite and antenatal/postnatal ward at Wellington Hospital
