    TPL Ext. Development

    YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The TPL is accountable for reviewing commercial innovation strategy and determining best technical strategy to bring new innovations to market.
  • He works closely with business partners based in the China Consumer Healthoffice and partners with external CMOs, technical experts and universities to deliver innovation with excellence.
  • He/she leads tactical execution of approved NPD projects across a range of development milestones.
  • He/she is accountable for determining best technical path to launch, including off-the-shelf solution, external vs internal development, roll-out or adjustment of existing formulas.
  • He/she is responsible to create and deliver an aligned technical strategy and integrated project plan to the Core Project Team.
  • He/she is accountable for leading the development of detailed milestones and timelines that deliver high quality NPD projects aligned with consumer expectations and insights.
  • He/she leads development of technical risk assessment for NPD projects and is also accountable for managing, communicating, and mitigating technical risks to meet launch demands.
  • He/she is responsible for creative problem solving and using the global R&D, Development Centers and Centers of Excellence hubs to get advice, information and/or technical support.
  • He/she provides leadership and oversight of tactical execution (time, cost, quality) making sure to escalate any issues or deviations.
  • He/she organizes and manages detailed development budget for assigned NPD projects including both internal FTE as well as external spend requirements.
  • He/she works closely with external partners, local commercial team and matrixed functions (medical, regulatory, packaging & design) for on time NPD delivery.
  • He/she effectively leverages external partnership and expert network for external developments.
  • He leads technical Due Diligence for off-the-shelf solutions or in- licensing options.
  • He ensures continued connection of NPD to both consumer needs and business goals/priorities for technical team.
  • WHO YOU ARE

  • Master's degree with 10 to 15 years of significant experience in Consumer Health/FMCG and a proven track record for new innovation delivery from concept through launch.
  • Passion for Consumer inspired innovation.
  • Experience in developing products in a regulated environment.
    •VMS, Dermatology and Digestive Health experience not necessary, but strong plus.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, particular in cross-functional teams
  • Strong ability to make decision and work with and influence all levels in the organization.
  • Outstanding project management and creative problem-solving skills
