- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable microservices-based software applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following established coding standards and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and improving the overall code quality.
- Contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of microservices, ensuring scalability, fault tolerance, and performance.
- Identify and troubleshoot software defects, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
- Collaborate with QA engineers to ensure comprehensive test coverage and participate in testing activities when required.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to facilitate the deployment and release of microservices-based applications.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in Java development, specifically related to microservices architecture and Spring Boot, Spring Cloud related frameworks.
- Actively participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of professional experience in Java software development.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming language and related frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, MyBatis, etc.).
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and experience in designing and implementing microservices based on Spring Cloud framework.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Experience with web application development using technologies like Spring MVC or WebFlux.
- Experience with frontend development is a big plus (e.g. React)
- Familiarity with database concepts and hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with Git and build tools (Maven, Gradle).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and debug complex software systems.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with non-SQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Experience with cache servers such as Redis or Memcached.
- Experience with message queues (MQ) such as Apache Kafka.
- Knowledge of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and automated testing.
