    About the Job

    The Bose Consumer Product Management team is crucial to delivering best-in-classaudio products. We are looking for a Product Manager to join our teamtodefine and lead the Portable Speaker product roadmap.

    As a Product Manager at Bose, you will be responsible for the overall Portable Speaker strategy, roadmap, and product launches to achieve financial and quality targets. Your success in achieving these targets is dependent on strong cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders across supply, engineer, design, marketing, and sales.

    A Day in the Life: Start your day with reviewing the global in-market performance of the Portable Speaker category, including sales and consumer reviews. Before lunch, meet with our manufacturing partners on theirprogress of the new portable speakersin development. After lunch, review business case assumptions of the new products together with cross-functional partners (marketing, sales, finance).Round out the afternoon by reviewing consumer insight reports from a recent in-market study to inform both product requirement decisions and future roadmap choices.Your interactions throughout the day highlight cross-functional collaboration, data-informed decision making, and an ongoing pulse of the evolving market and consumer.

    Responsibilities:

  • Leading Portable SpeakerPortfolio Strategy: Define and communicate the portable speaker strategy, ensuring alignment to overall product portfolio strategy
  • Communicating with Stakeholders: Regularly update internal and external stakeholders on new product program progress and challenges with data-informed recommendations
  • Defining business case and product requirements: Create clear business assumptions and user needs for each product to succeed in market
  • Influencing across all functions: Lead with empathy and create cross-functional buy in for the portable speaker strategy, portfolio and roadmap
  • Clarify, document, and communicate use-case and customer requirements for our manufacturing partners
  • Reinforce customer value and whole-product thinking when driving cross-functional requirements decision-making.
  • Focus on speed to market and agility in executing new product launches
  • Use data and insights to drive conviction in your portfolio and product requirements
  • Partner closely with marketing, sales and planning teams to ensure financial success in market
  • About You

    Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degreeor equivalent experience
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers
  • Ability to translate complex conceptsinto clear communication to executives
  • Ability to navigate and understand technical concepts
  • Understanding ofhardware product development
  • Strong business acumen
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Software and/or Connected Products a plus
  • Previous involvement in international consumer product companies
