Job Description

We're in search of a dedicated A Level Mathematics Educator for a renowned international school situated in Jiangsu Province, China.

• Deliver a weekly timetable of classes as per the schedule provided by the Head of Department or Whole School Director
  
• Ensure compliance with all professional standards expected of a classroom instructor in alignment with the school's Teaching and Learning Policy
  
• Monitor and assess the academic development of students in your class through mandated evaluations
  
• Prepare termly student reports and participate in parent conferences as per the school's annual calendar
  
• Participate in the boarding house supervision rotation on a weekly basis (including weekends if necessary) as instructed by the Deputy Head Pastoral
  
• Engage in the CCA program by leading or assisting in activities for students on a weekly basis, including Saturday programs scheduled by the CCA Director
  
• Contribute to the annual expeditions program, which involves residential trips lasting up to a week, either within China or neighboring countries
  
• Attend extracurricular events, parent information sessions, and community engagements as directed by the Heads of Schools and/or Head of Department
  
• Represent the school at official functions upon request by the Head of Department
  
• Teaching responsibilities as determined by the Head of Department
  
• Set a positive example in all professional aspects, ensuring adherence to standards such as attire, punctuality, and teamwork
  
• Contribute to shaping the school's overarching vision and ensure alignment among students, staff, and parents with that vision
  
• The school prioritizes the safety and well-being of children and young individuals, expecting all staff members and associates to uphold this commitment
  

Candidate Requirements

• The ability and willingness to motivate others, serving as a role model for the School's vision statement Leadership for a better world in relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
  
• Familiarity with (or openness to familiarizing oneself with) Chinese cultural practices, as well as the Mandarin and/or Chinese National curriculum
  
• For Chinese Nationals - proficiency in bilingual (Chinese and English) language skills
  
• Readiness to collaborate closely with Chinese counterparts in a co-teaching and co-planning setting crucial for the successful execution of our integrated curriculum
  
• Relevant teaching certifications and experience
