Mindy Ye

Hello. My name is Mindy Ye, and I am from California, America. I graduated from University of California Davis with a bachelor's degree in economics. I have also completed my 120-hour TELSO / TELF course. I am currently working as an administrator at a Real Estate Company. 

Even though my current employment is not in teaching, I have always had an interest in education and working with children. I have always believed that all children are naturally curious and born to be great thinkers and I would love to be part of support in developing a growth mindset that builds stamina, confidence, and resilience over time. Even during my college years, I worked as a part-time teaching assistant at a Chinese/English Bilingual School. In 2020, I had an opportunity to work at a training center in China as an English Teacher, teaching kids from ages 3 to 12. And I found my passion in teaching, and I really enjoyed working with children. I’m passionate about creating a fun and encouraging learning environment for my students and making sure all of them are comfortable speaking English.

China is my home, and it is where many of my family and loved ones are located. I can speak Mandarin fluently, so I will have no issue adjusting to life in China once again. And thus, I am looking for a long-term ESL teaching career in China.

My current job is an administrative position at a Real Estate Company here in San Jose CA. My job responsibilities include:

• Supported a fast-growing real estate team of 6. 
• CRM management, client communication and support.
• Maintained multiple renovation project spreadsheets and ensured information accuracy. 
• Prepared Listings and transaction management, and ensured deadlines are met. 
• Advertising, marketing, social media management. 
• Coordinated with vendors for repair and inspections. 
• Hosted Open Houses and private showings. 
• Negotiated offer terms with both sellers and buyers and ensured on time closing. 

During my college years, I worked as a part-time teaching assistant at a Chinese/English Bilingual School. In 2020, I had an opportunity to work at a training center in China as an English Teacher, teaching kids from ages 3 to 12. My main responsibilities includes:

• Taught English to kids from ages 3-12 in groups of up to 10 students
• Created lesson plans and activities to help students practice and understand English vocabulary 
• Used electronic media and Annie Flower developed courseware to teach English
• Assigned and evaluated after class assignments and provide feedback 
• Participated in weekly meetings and teaching evaluations
